Mysore Medical College and Research Institute
formerly known as Government Medical College is one of the oldest medical colleges India.

It is located in the heart of Mysuru city adjacent to the railway station. Founded in 1924 by Sri Krishna Rajendra Wodeyar IV, it carries the legacy of being the oldest medical college to be established in the Karnataka region and seventh in India. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. It has sailed through a journey of 99 years and is still going strong, holding its head high with both old tradition and modern techniques instilled deep within its routes and entering it's Centenary Celebration this year.

 The alumni who have walked the very steps of these college have gone on to become some of the best doctors in the entire world. With brilliant alumni paving the way, the students of MMC are ever enthusiastic in their academic ventures.
